miami goes noun \ mī-ˈa-mē gōz \ mi·a·mi goes
- A colloquial, slang, or expressive phrase, used to describe when something is done very well, of the highest quality, or in a unique and "cool" way i.e. "damn man that sh*t goes," in this case combining the words "Miami" and "goes," i.e. "Yo, Miami Goes fr!!!"
- A double entendre that when loosely pronounced; sounds like "mi(s) amigos," in Spanish, directly translating to "My Friends" in the English language; a crew/group of friends
Miami Goes is a lifestyle & clothing brand/collective/crew based out of Miami, Florida, founded in 2018 and under the direction of Alexander Maldonado, Jean-Paul Cajina, Miguel Santiago & Mykee Espino.
Miami Goes, rooted in dance, was developed & nurtured as a representation of our influences from life, art, hip hop, and street culture from the reference point of local Miami culture. However, with dance and our deep love for Miami at the core of our expression, we aim to share this energy and feeling with the world.
VISION
“Being from Miami” is to live within a constant flow of dualities – where personal identities co-exist and external influences intersect. This creates an reimagined fusion of what we describe as the Miami “spirit.” The true Miami essence lies in its ability to hold space for a multitude of stories, each which contribute to the evolving tapestry of the city.
Dance, as a deeply creative and multifaceted discipline, holds a perspective that enriches the broader conversation of art, culture and innovation. Rooted in expression through the physical form, its multi-dimensional elements – such as design and storytelling merge purpose with creativity, extending its influence beyond traditional spaces – whether through conceptual ideas, fashion, and cultural narratives. Dance doesn’t just belong at the table; it reshapes it and offers a renewed perspective that is essential to understanding creativity in its fullest form.
We are a group and network of multidisciplinary artists dedicated to evolving our expression through mediums (included, but not limited to: direction, production, photography, film, graphic design, literature, visual art, sound, architecture, augmented reality, social media, and most importantly dance/movement artistry).

Our mission is to craft clothing from the perspective of dance, bringing this unique viewpoint to the world. Through the blend of dance, design, storytelling, and mediums that innovate and transcend traditional dance spaces, we aim to offer a unique perspective on fashion. By merging physical expression with functional and artistic design, we seek to reshape and contribute to cultural narratives, offering a perspective that foresees a future where dance claims its rightful seat at the table.
